I have been thrifting a lot by buying all my furniture from Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. I haven’t had much luck on OfferUp and NextDoor but I have had tons of luck on good ole Craigslist. Facebook Marketplace is okay too, although I wonder if people reply to certain races and gender more often than others. I know I would prefer girl buyers a little more just because I’m a girl and it feels safer to have a girl buyer. Anyway, that’s aside from the point.

I’ve been able to fit most things in my family’s SUV, and I’m so lucky I have a friend with a truck. I found the day bed I have been looking for for a long time- a CB2 Lubi day bed that I’ve been eyeing that retails for $899. Unfortunately, not a lot of people sell CB2 stuff in my area. It’s probably because there’s no store around here and although there is Crate and Barrel, CB2 dooesn’t ship anything to C&B.

I found the day bed an hour away from where I live. Lugg was way too expensive, charging a starting fee of $105 + $0.85 per min for just 1 mover. It would probably cost me close to $200. I looked for a Craigslist mover, but everyone seems to be advertising for big moves, not just one little day bed. I also looked at TaskRabbit at the recommendation of the seller, and I honestly haven’t used it and the UI wasn’t great. I couldn’t tell if the mover would take my job and how it’ll all work.

I google searches best ways to buy a craigslist item, and Dolly came up as a search result. I tried it out and it got me a mover pretty quickly at a reasonable price!

This post is not sponsored at all, I just wanted to share a $10 discount code for Dolly for any of your Craigslist or Fb Marketplace buys.
